#OneOutfit100Days is a project that was begun by South Jersey art teacher, Julia Mooney. Beginning on September 2, 2018, Julia wore the same fair trade, hemp dress to work for 100 days to make a statement about what she calls our “culture of excess”. The project has been chronicled on Instagram, and has gained international attention from eco activists, fellow educators, and slow fashion enthusiasts. Julia will present on her goals within the project, community reactions, myths and facts around recycling and donating clothing, mindful consumption, and dealing with “celebrity” status.
