Sustainable Jersey hub for Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties
Thanks to a grant from The Watershed Institute’s Roots For Rivers Program, hundreds of trees were planted on the farm at PPA earlier this year. The trees help manage stormwater, reduce erosion, and reduce flooding in Vincentown and the Rancocas Creek. They will provide long-term benefits to the farm by providing shade, windbreak, and pollinator habitat.
To help the trees thrive, we are mulching the trees with pizza boxes and woodchips. The pizza boxes reduce weeds and add soil carbon while reducing our waste stream. There’s a lot of ground to cover, and we need your help!
Tools will be provided and a bathroom will be available. Participation is limited to 25. By registering, participants agree to wear a mask over their nose and mouth when within 10 feet of others not in their household. While there will be some gloves available, please bring your own, if possible. Thank you so much for your help!
Registration required.
